Live Baccarat Basics: Your First Game
Choose a table in the lobby
Open the live casino lobby on the platform. Look for a baccarat table with a low minimum bet, such as RM10 or RM25. This lets you learn without risking large sums. Higher limits attract experienced players and faster play, which can confuse a beginner.
Check the table’s betting time. Most tables give 15 to 20 seconds to place a bet. If you need more time, pick a slower table or one labelled “speed” only when you are ready. The lobby also shows the number of active players and the shoe progress indicator.
Understand the three main bets
Live baccarat has three betting boxes: Player, Banker, and Tie. The Player and Banker bets pay 1:1, but the Banker bet carries a 5% commission on wins. The Tie bet pays 8:1 or 9:1 but has a much higher house edge, so avoid it as a beginner.
Most experienced players bet on Banker because it wins slightly more often. If you bet on Player, you skip the commission. Never bet on Tie unless you are comfortable losing your stake frequently. Stick to one bet type per round until you understand the pattern.
Read the scoreboard correctly
The platform displays a scoreboard showing past results: red for Banker, blue for Player, and green for Tie. Some tables also show “big road,” “big eye boy,” and other patterns. Ignore those as a beginner. Only look at the last 10 to 20 results to see recent trends.
Do not believe that past results predict future outcomes. Each hand is independent. The scoreboard is for reference, not a guaranteed strategy. Use it to decide whether you want to follow a streak or bet against one, but always set a stop-loss before starting.
Place your bet before the cut
When you join a live table, the dealer will start a new shoe or continue an existing one. You must place your bet during the betting window. Click the chip value on screen, then tap the Player, Banker, or Tie box. Confirm your bet before the countdown ends.
If you miss the window, your bet will not be placed. The platform will automatically skip your turn. You can adjust your bet amount each round. Start with the minimum bet to get comfortable with the timing and interface before increasing your stake.
Manage your ringgit balance
Deposit using Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, Boost, DuitNow, or bank transfer. Set a budget before you start. For example, decide that you will only use RM100 for the session. Once that amount is lost, stop playing. Do not chase losses by depositing more during a session.
Withdraw winnings using the same methods. The platform shows your balance in ringgit. Check the withdrawal limits and processing times in the cashier section. Keep a record of your deposits and withdrawals to track your spending. Never play with money you cannot afford to lose.
